Blog Marketing : Create a lens at Squidoo
SQUIDOO is a restively new social networking service
that has a strong social conscience.
A percentage of all revenue earned by Squidoo from
advertising goes to charity.
Even better, they share some of the revenue with people
who build lenses. Squidoo puts it this way:
"Build good lenses, feature great stuff, share your lenses
as much as possible, and earn more royalties."
The other side of Squidoo, as with any social networking
site is the value of having your blog or website linked
to a high ranked site - Squidoo was ranked 6/10 by
Google at the time of writing this post.
You can build as many lenses as you want.
Here's a great example of a lens by a former park
ranger who is using one of his lenses to promote
national parks and a book he has recently written:
http://www.squidoo.com/nationalparksandmonuments
You can learn more about Squidoo and help a specific
charity by participating in Dr.Mani's Congenital
Heart Disease Awareness activity on Squidoo:
http://clicks.aweber.com/z/ct/?x6AYCWe6MEgKVUxF_DxaQQ
Dr. Mani is a heart surgeon who is also a top internet
marketer. Every year, since 1999, he has worked to
create a promotion that brings the message about
children facing the challenge of life-threatening heart
birth defects to as wide an audience as possible.
You can participate in his promotion of CHD Awareness Day
by participating in his Squidoo promotion - you get
support to create your first Squidoo lens in the process
and the chance of winning a prize.

Don't Isolate Yourself and Your Blog
Yarow Starak, from the Blog Traffic School, warns against
becoming an Insular Blogger:
I’ve noticed lately my blog is not growing as rapidly as
it did about a year ago. While my posting frequency has
dropped a little I don’t think that’s the main reason
for the reduction in traffic growth.
I believe the culprit is insular blogging. Insular
blogging is when you sit and post content to your blog
never linking to or talking about other bloggers, blogs
or websites. You need to interact with the blogosphere
and other people online in order to grow your traffic
rapidly.
You can have success ...

The Will To Win - Serena Williams
I have been watching the Australian Open with great interest
over the past week or so.
I have been amazed at the will power shown by Serena Williams
- her will power and focus are incredible. She dedicated her
Australian Open win to her late half-sister, Yetunde Price.
Serena was determined to win for her sister and to prove the
critics wrong about her fitness. Her focus did not waver for
a single moment in her 6-1, 6-2 win.
I thought that if only I could match this with my own internet
business, I could go a long way.
When you look at the great internet marketers they have really
focused on some aspect and done it to death, e.g. Perry Marshall
and AdWords, Jim Edwards and article marketing/info products,
Charlie Page and copywriting and so on.
Despite the odds against them at the start they have stuck with
it and developed deep expertise that they are now able to sell.
This has been their competitive advantage.
I think one of the problems with people starting out is that
they jump from one thing to another and then wonder why they
don't progress.
The information overload tends to disperse their energy and
focus and they soon become frustrated.
So the secret seems to be to want something badly, decide
a focus in an area that you are interested in (preferably
a popular niche that is not too crowded) and then maintain
your focus.

Perry Marshall's FREE mp3 interviews
Perry Marshall has just launched a new soft-
covered book on Google Adwords which is available
from Amazon.com here:
http://www.ad-alyzer.com/727/GoogleAdwordsBook
To promote his new book he is releasing mp3
interviews he has conducted with top internet
marketers and giving them away at no cost.
You can get access to the mp3's here:
http://www.perrymarshall.com/expertseries
I have listened to his interviews on Google
Adwords with Jim Edwards and Mark Hendricks.
They are superb with some genuine pearls.
I will be listening to them again because
there is so much in them (and I have already
read a number of books on Google Adwords).
Other interviews coming up are:
Bob Sterling on Search Engine Marketing
Paul Myers on advertising strategies
and also interviews with Bill Glazer, Yanik
Silver, Jason Potash and others.
Don't forget Jim's new book - Ulimate Guide
to Google Adwords- which is 300 pages and
covers all aspects of internet marketing
as well as Google Adwords.
I noticed this morning that Amazon.com has
reduced the price from $24.95 to $16.47 but
I am not sure for how long. Here's the link:

My experience of Clickbank Affiliate Confessions
I have been having a great time with Clickbank Affiliate
Confessions:
http://www.ad-alyzer.com/727/cbaffconfess
I downloaded five audio tapes to my Ipod and listened to
them on the ferry and on my morning walks.
I have just finished listening to Super Affiliate, Rosalind
Gardner, on my walk at 5.30am this morning.
This is really good stuff. So far I have got the inside
information from Rosalind , Graeme Eastman, Liz Tomey
and Rick Davies.
They explain how they got into affiliate marketing, the
ways they use Clickbank products and their most
successful methods of marketing.
http://www.ad-alyzer.com/727/cbaffconfess
The interviews each cover:
There are also videos and pdf books to cover the material.
Each of the videos have clear steps that you can put into
action immediately.
I am already working on one of the strategies that
Liz Tomey identified as a key strategy for marketing
Clickbank products in the future.

Press Release: ISORegister Launches New Internet Marketing Program
Yesterday, I created a press release and promoted it
throughout the Internet through the services provided
by Market-It, an integrated Internet marketing program:
http://tinyurl.com/fowwv
It was a simple process - create the press release in
Word, copy and paste to the integrated marketing site
and press a button. This sent my press release to over
100,000 journalists worldwide, as well as all the major
media outlets—to get my website on TV, radio,
newspapers and magazines. Here's the site again - it's
so easy because they give you detailed instructions on
every facet of press release writing and provide a
template for submission:
http://tinyurl.com/fowwv
Here's the text of my press release:
Internet Marketing: ISORegister Inc. Morphing
Through Automation
Internet marketing has become increasingly automated
over the last five years. ISORegister, Inc. has taken
automation to another level with the release of their new,
highly automated, advertising services program in
October 2006.
ISORegister has introduced the concept of auto-marketing
of affiliate links, provided a new range of automatic
marketing tools and enabled automatic generation of
multiple streams of income.
Automation in Internet marketing is a fact of life. You can
have access to blogblasters, Myspace mailers, RSS feeds,
article generators, context ad creators, search engine
submitters, text translators, text-to-voice converters,
e-book compilers, web page creators, pinging…and the
list goes on.
The centrepiece of ISO Register’s new program is
auto-marketing of members’ affiliate links so that they can
generate 50% recurring commission for each referral.
Affiliate links are promoted on a rotational basis through
massive email marketing campaigns. This enables members
of the program to quickly cover their monthly subscriptions
and move into profit.
ISORegister, a reputable web hosting and domain registration
company, has been on the Internet since 1999. This has
enabled them to build a huge network of online advertising
outlets and media.
Dr. Passfield, affiliate marketing coach, comments,
ISORegister is diversifying from its strengths –
its reputation, long-standing web presence and its enviable
advertising power. The new program is both innovative and
clever. ISORegister is effectively using the new automated
advertising services program to increase its prospect base to
on-sell its lucrative, back-end, traditional products and
services.”
This explains the generous 50% recurring commission paid
to members as affiliates, not only for new referrals but also
for sales of a range of products and services that are integrated
into the new program.
ISORegister takes automation beyond the first level of
auto-marketing of affiliate links. Membership benefits also
include 5 fully automated advertising services that enable a
member to promote a website of their choice. These include
automatic email, banner, classified ad, and directory services
that are intended to be set-and-forget facilities. In addition,
members receive an automatic allocation of 6,000 hits each
month to use on a website of their choice.
These automated features are underpinned by 11 website
marketing and business building tools that include a website
builder, hosting and ad tracking. The final element that
heralds the new era of automation is a single sales page that
gives affiliates the opportunity to earn income form the sale
of 10 different products and services that are integral to the
program and provided free to members.
ISORegister provides members with a full suite of training
videos to ensure that they can use all the features and
services of the program. The extent of these services and
products, included in a membership fee of less than $30 per
month, demonstrates the challenge represented by Internet
marketing today. Five years ago you could easily sell an
e-book by itself without any difficulty. Today, e-book
marketers throw in bonuses worth 10-20 times the value
of the e-book to make a sale. This situation makes
automation of advertising an imperative.
ISORegister is taking this automation to another level.
They are also extending the concept of support to embrace
auto-marketing of affiliate links and the provision of
extensive online video training. ISORegister is a company
that has achieved an enviable longevity on the net and
created a proven track record. It enters a new phase of
growth as it reinvents itself in response to saturation of its
traditional web hosting and domain registration markets.
