Getting traffic to your Squidoo lens

There has been a lot of discussion lately on the Squidoo
forum about changes to the criteria for lensrank.

Most contributors indicate that Squidoo has now given
more weighting to traffic to your lens in determining
your Lensrank.

So I have been exploring ways to get more traffic to
my key lenses.

I discovered lately that I am having success with
the free Viral Link Tracker progam.

Here are the few simple steps involved:

1. Transform Your Squidoo lens link to a
"Viral Tracking" link

You enter the URL of your Squidoo lens in the
Viral Link Generator and bingo you have a new viral
link which displays you lens PLUS an adblock with
three ads.

2. Create Your own ads to drive traffic to
your Squidoo lens

A very simple process of writing a few lines
or uploading an image and adding your
Squidoo lens URL.

3. Promote and use your new viral tracking
link - for a double benefit

This promotes two things for you - it promotes your lens
and your viral link tracker affiliate ID.

4. Earn free adcredits and advertising

Your viral link also displays three ads that generate
adcredits for you when someone clicks on them.
I have been astounded at the clickthrough rate on these
ads. Here's today's stats:
Ad Displays Today - 1464
Link Clicks Today 471

You also get adcredits when your affiliates' links get
clicked. Your viral link above advertises your
affiliates for you and they are creating adcredits for
you ...and so it goes on.

I have placed a link on my lens to enable people to sign up for
my email course. This is above the fold (so that it displays on
the first page of my lens). When I promote my viral link,
I not only promote my lens, I am also promoting my
free ecourse.
